Aiding in a September event hosted by Penny Appeal Canada, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing food, water, and education to impoverished Canadian communities, Fred was seen wearing Alexander McQueen’s Oversize Sneaker. Although pricey by the standards of most sneakerheads at $675 CAD, it is great to see our athletes help give back to communities in need.
Shooting Guard: Gary Trent Jr. #33
Gary posted a series of images of himself attending an Adidas event, where he was seen to be wearing the highly demanded Adidas YZY QNTM Frozen Blue colorway. This shoe is currently unavailable for retail due to the batch manufacturing process implored by YZY. It is, however, available on open marketplaces such as StockX, where latest market prices for the shoe have hovered around $300 CAD for a men’s size 11. If you intend on buying a pair, note that market resale prices constantly fluctuate.
Small Forward: OG Anunoby #3
Walking into the Air Canada Center pre-game, OG can be seen wearing the Nike Air Jordan Retro High Travis Scott edition. Like Gary’s Yeezys, these shoes are also sold in limited retail drops. Although not available for retail as of now, these shoes can be bought new from aftermarkets at a whopping $2400 CAD for a mens size 11. Again, note that market prices on resold shoes fluctuate with time.
Power Forward: Pascal Siakam #43
Pascal was spotted pregame earlier this year wearing the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low in the University Gold colorway. These kicks are part of an exclusive drop by the two collaborating brands. Reselling at around $800 CAD for a men’s size 11, this shoe is hot in the aftermarket. The black and white colour scheme contrasts Siakam’s otherwise neutral attire - for that night’s outfit, the sneakers stole the show.
Center: Precious Achiuwa #5
Precious was spotted late October sporting the Dr Martens Jadon Smooth Leather Platform Boots. Priced at $280 CAD, these winter boots provide both comfort along with a semi-formal style which matches with both professional and casual attire.
